On September 3, 2022, Chemere Ellis presented on Florida’s Revised Service of Process Legislation to leading business practitioners at the Florida Business Law Section’s Labor Day Retreat. The Service of Process legislation was just one of many that the Business Law Section drafted, supported, and lobbied to enact, and Chemere presented on some of the changes that will take effect January 2, 2023. The revisions to Chapter 48 will eliminate redundancies and inconsistencies in the statute and simplify service of process in the state of Florida.
Chemere is a member of the Business Law Section, which is a voluntary bar association that provides a forum for business law practitioners to learn, grow, and exchange ideas to provide the best service to their clients.
