Tampa, FL – Chemere Ellis has been selected among an elite group of attorneys to participate in the 2022-2023 Bar Leadership Institute Class of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (“HCBA”).   Each year, the Leadership Institute selects a small group of attorneys with the potential to develop into HCBA and Tampa Bay community leaders.  The program was designed to help participants gain and develop skills, knowledge, and relationships that will allow them to emerge as the leaders they are.  The Leadership Institute consists of seven learning modules and culminates with the completion of a community service project chosen, managed, and completed by Leadership participants.

Chemere focuses her practice on a wide range of commercial litigation, criminal defense and regulatory enforcement, receivership, and securities litigation.  Prior to joining the firm, Chemere served as a prosecutor for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas County), where she prosecuted all manner of cases, including first degree life felonies.  Chemere has first-chaired dozens of jury trials and has served in the supervisory role of Lead Trial Attorney in the county courts of Pinellas County.
